It will explore forms that molded the rough planets of the internal close planetary system in excess of four billion years back. To study the Martian interior Insight uses seismometer and heat flow probe. This mission was planned to be launched in 2016 but due to errors in seismometer its launch was postponed to 2018. But this delay and postponement result in increased cost from US$675 million to a total of US$830 million. This cost can be reduced by using the old technology named as Mars Phoenix
