If there was ever a space plane that we have to be ready to land, it would be the SpaceX’s Crew Dragon. SpaceX’s Crew Dragon is an all-electric crewed capsule designed to carry astronauts into low Earth orbit for NASA. Each vehicle is reusable, with each Dragon launch landing and returning Falcon 9 booster first stages to land at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. If this type of space plane was ever built, there would be a lot of competition between companies with their own versions, but we will have to wait and see who gets to build it first.
The United States has been behind in developing commercial space travel for many years and we haven’t had a space shuttle yet. This means that astronauts have to fly on American made rockets instead of commercial space capsules that they could take home to Earth. In order for this to happen, many countries, such as Russia, China, India, and Japan want to work together to create an all-electric vehicle that can be used for crewed missions. Many have said that if we do not have a space vehicle capable of carrying astronauts around the moon or to Mars that we may soon find ourselves on the brink of extinction.
When this type of space vehicle is ready to go, we will have an aerospace company that will make it. They are not going to make one right away, however, as we need to be ready first before they come out with their own version. Until then, you can take a look at what the astronauts in space have already experienced and take a trip into space yourself.
